Our company director, Susanta Banerjee, recently had the pleasure of writing for the resources hub on The Law Society website. The article ran through Mr Banerjee’s recent experience joining the panel at a virtual event hosted by Croydon Young Offender Service.

An Enlightening Event By The Croydon Young Offender Service

Back in July of this year, the fantastic team at the Croydon Young Offender Service put together an event to discuss the current criminal justice system. It was targeted at young individuals, allowing them to express their feelings towards justice and injustice while hearing first-hand accounts from those in the legal field, as well as police officers.

The article published in on The Law Society, titled “now is the time”, consolidated the overall sentiments towards the topics discussed on the day with Mr Banerjee describing the experience as “thoroughly heartening and humbling.” It impacted not only those invited but also Mr Banerjee, who had also experienced similar trials and prejudices as a trainee solicitor.

Overall, it was most definitely a thought-provoking event, even when hosted virtually, once again reassuring the solidarity we have all felt during the pandemic, comforting our feelings of change for the future.
